I heard about it on ''Rain Delay Theater'' on AM1000. A caller mentioned this and I got to wondering, maybe its not a bad that Ozzie is putting Jenks in the tight games against big time hitters. Jenks is slowly gaining experience and could become very valuable if Hermy goes down.

I can see that happening but don't be fooled, Ozzie has never seen Marte consistnly dominant, since he did come in after Marte's great year so I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't use him.

If Hermy does go down, the only real logical choice is Baj. However, given the Sox's refusal to call him up despite his near 1.00 ERA, I guess the only other choices would be Fields or Diaz. I really dunno who else they'd call up.

I don't think we should put Hermanson on the DL until the end of August. Then, we can promote 2 or 3 relievers with the September call-ups. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like the idea of just shutting down players like Pods and Hermanson while the division has still not been clinched. There's no better way to have a prolonged slump than to blow leads late in a game. If you DL Hermanson, you alter the entire bullpen.
