Anyone ever visited all 30 MLB parks?

Featured Replies

I was trying to think how long would it take to accomplish? I really have no clue, could it be done between 2 school years?

I wouldn't try to do it all in one summer, but it could be done.

Hell, one time it was done in exactly 30 days.

However, i think you'd get burnt out/homesick/whatever being on the road for as long as it took to get all 30 parks done. You could also plan travel better by not doing it in one summer.

I think the best way to do it would be over 4 trips, doing "loops" of the NE, SE, SW, an NW. Something like that.

I just think all 30 in one summer would be kind of nuts.

Yeah....hmm...

I like your loops idea too because then you could handle rain delays better.

Dude, stop being so damn practical. :D

Seriously, why not. The hardest part is going to be the West coast because the stadiums aren't as close as the East Coast or Midwest. And as for sponsors, if you put a twist on what you are doing, then it may be easier. Y'know, like the specialty food at different parks (which I think has been done) or finding the best fan or tailgating or something along those lines.

Good luck in your journey!!!

I'm not the biggest travel person in the world. So what i'm planning to do once i have some money is just go for maybe a week a summer or something. Go visit 3 or 4 parks in a week, make that your vacation for the summer.

Doing all 30 would be absolutely crazy and you wouldn't even enjoy it after awhile.

Not to mention doing it a little at a time will make it alot more reasonable on the wallet

Don't forget to put some extra money in the budget for flat tires.

Everyone has good ideas here. I do like the Loop or 4 corners sort of deal. And yes this has been done before and has been done a lot recently, since that Mastercard commercial was out. It is worth a shot, the worst they'll do is say or not respond.

oo dat sounds fun -i luv baseball :)

Yep, and now the gas will cost a lot more. Assuming it never goes down under 2 again.

Well this plan is getting changed, haha not only is it all 30 baseball parks, but it's also going to all the 48 continental states since we'd hit almost all of them anyways. It sounds like we're going to do this in 2008 so I'm starting to save money already and hopefully things will work out and this trip will happen.

2008!?

You'll have to get a plane to get to the new Puerto Rican expansion team. Not to mention the $15/Gal gas.

Haha, yeah I know it's like 2 years and 8 months or so away but who knows, if it gets too expensive on gas we may cut back and do the east one year and the west another year.
