But,he threw like 40+ pitches in the two innings of work.

It was actually funny if you aren't a Sox fan. They honestly did look like the Bad News Bears. Balls getting by infielders, outfielder having trouble picking up the ball, outfielder can't field, easy steals against them (I think it was 4 in the first two innings before I couldn't watch anymore), etc.

Iguchi looks like he's in slow-motion out there. If this game gets out of hand, Ozzie needs to get Everett out of RF before he hurts himself or someone else.

Trust me, it's not knee jerk.  Him and Uribe have been extremely, extremely disappointing this season.  I just couldn't believe how pumped up his reputation got because of the New York series.  He's a very good outfielder...but Torii Hunter, he's not.  His throwing arm has been dismal all season.

 

He is one of the top fielders in baseball. Realistically i would only take hunter over him and maybe sizemore. Offesively though he has been very disappointing... but these are the numbers i was thinking about at the start of the year.

When you combine throwing arm/accuracy into the equation, that's where I think someone like Rowand is overrated. Basically, if we had a power offense, then he would fit in well. However, when you already have a SS and 3B who could be defined as defensive specialists, then you have the makings of a bad offense.

So, what's our projected clinch date? Honestly, I'm thrilled with how this week went. I'm nervous about the Rangers series, as I don't think we can outslug them. Their hitter seem to match up very well with our pitchers.
