I saw that. Not a bad way to start a career

The funny thing is how much dip he has in his mouth. In the minors, you risk getting fined if you're caught with it.

how many times has htis feat happened? Has to be fairly rare

Well, if this article is correct, hitting a grand slam in your first at bat hadn't happened since 1898. LINK

While I was trying to find this I saw that Dustin Hermanson hit a HR in his first major league at bat.

Edit: THey just mentioned that it was 107 years since this was last done so the article I found was correct.

Hawk and DJ were talking about Brandon in the 8th after he was done, and the camera was on him.

He pulled out a tin from his pocket, and the camera shot off him so quick.

maybe big league chew comes in tins now

That's pretty cool.

My favorite is in golf when they accidently cut to a golfer smoking and they break away to ANY shot...

I just wanted to mention that if I ran the world we'd see games like King Felix vs. The Big Unit on Espn or Espn2. I imagine Directv people are getting it as an alternate but I'm not getting it at school.

Why can't the Sox ever get a rookie to have a big performance late in the season? :P

fathom, you're a solid poster but this should be in green right? I mean Anderson and Iguchi won the Seattle game on Friday and Bmac and Jenks combined for a CG SO of the Texas @ Texas, both games during a downturn... those are big in my book

Oh yeah, very sarcastic. We've received some big time performances from rookies lately. I love the energy that Jenks and Anderson has given us recently, and of course McCarthy showed up huge last night.
