Call me crazy, but as long as we win the Central, I want the Indians to win the Wild Card.

Yeah,we should have lost a few games to the Tigers!

I agree. Them or NY. I don't want a west coast team winning the WC, and Boston still makes me a little jittery too.

I think the Indians are the best team in the AL out of all the wild card teams. However, the bigger their lead in the WC, the bigger the Sox lead is in terms of making the playoffs.

I'm glad the Indians are winning. The Sox have more experience against them come playoff time.

I never thought I'd be saying this but Go Indians!

While it obviously works both ways, depending on your glass half full/half empty take, would it be good or bad to meet the Indians in the playoffs?  While we have seen there pitchers alot this season, they have seen ours just as often. Would you rather see someone that you have already seen 19 times, or only 6?

I'd rather face the Yankees. Indians hitting is ending up to be just as good as the Yankees, and the top Indians pitchers do very well against the Sox (C.C. and Millwood). Not only that, but in a long series, the Indians have a lot more bullpen depth.

And no, I WON'T SAY "GO INDIANS"! We're still in a pennant race.

I would rather a team we are 10-3 against so far this year than a team we are around .500 against. (we are 3-3 against the Yankees, and 2-7 against Oakland)

I'd love to play the Indians just cause I think we'd walk all over them but that's jmo. Also if we play the Indians that means we're already in the alcs, so that would be nice.

I'll worry about who I'd rather see in the playoffs when we officially clinch the central.

Best post of the night! :cheers

And by the way, for those who don't know, we wouldn't see the Indians, assuming both teams win their first round series, until the alcs anyway.

I want the indians to win even if youngstown's troll creams his pants.

The AL Central had never produced a wild card winner, and we are 10-3 against the Indians this year.

We could easily get our asses kicked by Cleveland.

I don't like the rule that a division winner can't play a team from the same division in the first round. there's no purpose, and besides, Cleveland is the potential play-off bound team that scares me least (and not just because it's impossible to see them in the first round).

and we could easily kick their asses. until it happens, we don't know, do we?

Hopefully no bashes you for this comment, but it's definitely possible. The Indians are playing sensational baseball, and even if it was against subpar teams, it has given them a TON of confidence. This isn't the same Indians team we beat up on earlier in the year where guys like Blake, Perralta, and Boone were automatic outs.

You guys are missing the thing. If the Indians win than the Sox would probably play the winner of the AL West (I'm guessing they'll have the worse record of the division winners) and not Cleveland in the 1st round.

And I'd rather take my chances with the Wild Card winner than Anaheim. Although personally speaking I don't care who the Sox play. If they play theire game (pitching, defense, timely hitting) they'll take out anyone.

I wouldn't make too much of our regular season record against the Indians. For one, they've been a totally different team since we last played them. Two, once the playoffs start, the regular season records mean jack s***. We were 8-4 against the Mariners in 2000, we all know what happened there.

I don't want to talk for everyone, but I'm pretty sure people were aware of that concept. For the time being, I'll root for the Sox to win every game, and cheer for the Indians and every other wild card contender to lose. Lets go Johan!

OMG That would be some easy playoff ownage right there.

BRING IT INDIANS!!!!!

Based on what?

Their 3-10 record against us?

Jose Contreras owning their team? (Look at his career stats)

Mark Buehrle nearly throwing a perfect game against them?

They are a team built on offense that can easily be shutdown by great pitching. They have a great bullpen, and their starting pitching isn't too bad, but their offense can be, and has been shutdown by pitchers like Buehrle, Garland, Garica, and Contreras.

f*** the Indians, but I hope we play them in the ALCS. :pray
