May 11, 200322 yr The crimes they were arrested for are not simple "mistakes". They are CRITICAL lapses in judgement that good people simply do not have. Please explain the vine dying statement. I do not know what that means. You have the veggie tale Jonah as your avatar - read the book of Jonah. Your distinctions between "good" people and others is something not supportable by the book of Jonah or the other books in which Jonah is normally contained. Nor by psychology, nor by real life. My avatar is not of Jonah. It is Lyle the Kindly Viking (Junior Asparagus). Get it straight, buddy. Also, you never explained the vine thing...or is it something that I'll find in the book of Jonah?
May 11, 200322 yr And here my grandson and I watched veggie tales last night and my grandson saw your avatar and identified it as Jonah - now I read the tiny print and see your identification - and you are calling my grandson a liar! Yes, the vine is one of the essentials point of Jonah.
May 11, 200322 yr I would not want to be 16 and have KW really pissed at me. When they go to the woodshed, I bet Kenny will be doing most of the talking and swinging.
May 11, 200322 yr all i want is KW gone as our GM..i dont wish any ill will on him or his family...whatever problems with his family are between the williams' and i dont need to know about it...
May 11, 200322 yr that is an assine thought. kids do stupid thing and then they grow up. with the 16 yr old his record will get clean up after he becomes an adult. the older may learn an important lesson here. Assinine? Hardly. You're right, kids DO do stupid things before growing up. I did my share of them, and I was a relatively well-mannered child. I never did anything that involved the police or anything that caused any real loss to anybody. However, we need to keep in mind that, as Jason said, stealing a car radio is not something that is normal for a teenager to do. And stealing a credit card? Is that your everyday, run-of-the-mill crime for a 16 yr old? I think not. And the fact that the youngest delinquent will get his slate wiped clean when he turns 18 is absurd. Just because you're "under age", that doesn't mean your actions should be hidden from the world when you hit a certain age. Anyone old enough to break into a car, steal a car radio and credit cards from a person is old enough to have it on their "rap sheet" as if they were an adult. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

Yes, the vine is one of the essentials point of Jonah. Well, Junior is in Jonah, but in my avatar he is portraying "Lyle" in Lyle the Kindly Viking (one of Veggie Tales' best cartoons, btw). So, he's not a liar. But, he watches Veggie Tales, so I'll give him a pass.
May 11, 200322 yr thank God I was and am always such a good person Even though I haven't read the book of Jonah yet, I think I know what you meant by your vine comment. I believe you basically were saying that you wonder how I'll feel when I one day screw up -- will I expect a 2nd chance, or will I be forced to take my own "you f***ed up, screw you" medicine? Is that accurate? Let me say that I am not claiming to be perfect. I have my flaws, and I am aware of what they are (impatient, procrastination, stubborn to name a few). All I expect out of people is to take responsibility for the choices they make in life. Is that asking too much?
May 11, 200322 yr and all i have to say about the origin of this thread...(no matter how unfeeling you may think i am now)...........LMMFAO............ANOTHER FINE MESS KW HAS CAUSED.............HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA if it had to happen to someone it couldnt have happened to a better person... i guess when they say it comes around it goes around it really does.... this is paybacks for all the f*** UPS he has done to this team....ill bet gord ash is rotflhao............ :fyou kw :finger :finger :finger :finger :finger ha ha ha ha ha ha this is way too funny..........

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. no-one is saying that they shouldn't be punished. you said; Young people who ruin their lives by doing stupid stuff like this likely didn't have bright futures ahead of them anyway, so they might as well break the law at a young age and end up behind bars where they belong i am saying and said that this might be the reason to tow the line, a second chance of being a good citizen. just b/c they did something stupid doesn't mean they are harden crimmals. i know of kids that went straight after a weekend in county, b/c they got the s*** scared out of them and they are outstanding citizens and fathers.

May 11, 200322 yr KW Briefing 'Today, I consider myself, the luckiest man on the face of the earth. My sons are in jail, as I will step down as GM of the Chicago White Sox.' I know his 16 year old son personally. if you know his son personally, are they that type that steals and breaks in? what is the take on them. Jr was around the neighborhood a lot and mostly minds his own business. Before he was able to drive he played a lot with the other teens on the lake. KW has a small gas boat and him and several others used to ride around the lake in it. I never heard any isses. He was/is a pretty timid kid. The older one.. had a few parties when mom and dad were away 2 summers ago and got busted for that. There was some minor damage done to a few neighborhood houses and one dock was messed up. Maybe this was big brother's prodding..? That's my opinion anyway. Also, I have no idea what kind of father KW is. I'm sure he's strict.. but any more than anyone else I do not know. I know that he isn't around a lot and his wife spends a lot of time with her mom who lives with them. Maybe it's the lack of supervision that contributed to this...? Remember the Mendendez brothers were into petty crime in the begining. And NO, I am NOT comparing this incident to the Mendendez brothers killing their parents.. ONLY their early crimes.

May 11, 200322 yr So he had absentee parents. Lovely. oh get off your high f***in horse already dont even try to tell us your parents were around you 24/7.........
May 11, 200322 yr oh get off your high f***in horse already dont even try to tell us your parents were around you 24/7......... My mom (my parents are divorced so I lived with her as per usual) was ALWAYS home when I got home from school. That makes a HUGE difference in how a child turns out. If you think otherwise, I guess we'll disagree (what new?). Obviously there's much more to parenting than that, but my mom did a very good job raising me (as did my dad, but I didn't see him nearly as much as I did my mom).

May 11, 200322 yr He was 19 at the time. An adult. Obviously not a very responsible one. Parents go away and he gets in trouble. Some "adult".

Well I'll blow that thoery out of the water then... from what I understand (from Jim's daughter who is on the board of directors with her at their association) she has been a stay at home mom for 13 years.

May 11, 200322 yr I love how the fact that I believe in holding people accountable for what they do gets to you people. Sounds like some of you have skeletons in the closet. Sad but true.
May 11, 200322 yr Obviously not a very responsible one. Parents go away and he gets in trouble. Some "adult". He was never indicated as causing any damage, nor was he punished in any way. Stop making things up that just aren't there.
