to Kansas City , you blow the lead to go down 4-3, bust ass to tie the score 4-4 in the 9th see the teams around you are all winning (Bos, NY and at the time the Sox were up 1-0 I think) then lose a ball in the sun to lose a huge game.

 

This made the "demoralizing" loss last night not seem so bad.

 

This and Boston has a doubleheader today.

 

Sorry if this is a dumb post, but it made me feel good so there.

Here's the beauty about this last week: all four teams involved in the race control their own destiny. If they win, they're in the playoffs. Lose, and they're likely out.

Boston has the toughest road...Toronto has folded for no one!!! Only good thing for the Sawx is they are at home.

I picked up the June issue of SI while I was waiting at the dentist office this morning. Plenty of references to the great play of the sox - how scrappy they were and aggressive. I miss those guys.
