Braves win 14th straight title

I don't know about you, but that is one of the most amazing runs EVER in sports as far as I am concerned. Players have come and gone, injuries, etc. No matter, these guys do nothing but win.

Bobby Cox is a genius manager. :cheers

That's no weak division either. The Phillies, Mets, and Marlins have all been in the World Series at least once during that stretch too.

and only 1 World Series. Atlanta, as a sports town, doesn't deserve such a streak. IMO

Bobby Cox and Leo Mazzone must have sold their souls a long time ago. Every year seems like the year New York or Philly or Florida will overtake them. It's just too easy for them.

At what point do we re-name the Manager of the Year Award the Bobby Cox Manager of the Year Award.

It's getting laughable at this point. Hats off.

Hats off.

Are we finally going to get to see you eat one?

You set yourself up here.... :D

Gotta give them props, this seems unreal. But on the flip side 1/13 for a World Series winner isn't the greatest.

I really thought they were going to come up short this year. They just keep winning, even despite all of the injuries this year. I thought the Marlins were a virtual lock to take that division, but they just can't seem to play up to the level of their talent.

Are there any pitching coaches in the Hall of Fame? Mazzone should end up there.

Last year, I picked the Phillies over the Bravos. I learned my lesson. I will not pick against the Braves until Cox, Schuerholtz, and Mazzone resign.

Congrats to them. After 04 I will never count them out, I thought they had no chance to win that division last year but they did. 14 in a row, absolutely f***in amazing.

At one point in June or July they had 10 rookies on their roster. About 5 of them were in the everyday lineup for that time. Gotta give props. As usual they will lose in the first round, I lost all respect for their fans in 03 when they let Cub fans take over Turner Field.

Looks like one of those deals with the devil where you're not specific enough and get burned.

"Souls for 30 straight division wins? Sure, we're bound to win a bunch of World Series in that stretch."

Its like in 2002, Barry Bonds started the season saying "I want to go to the World Series." After the WS ended, he told the media "I guess I should have said win the World Series instead", or something to that effect. I'm not a Bonds fan at all, but he was surprisingly good-natured when he said that.

Exactly. Also though I'm getting to the point where I expect them to not get as far in the playoffs as they should. With that said, they get way too much s*** for that.
