They were it because the White Sox have some of the best, if not thee best apparel in the major leagues. I'm pretty sure that LeBron is an Indians fan. 50 Cent is a Mets fan.
October 7, 200520 yr Author I remember when they switched to black and white. In around 1990-91 it started to become really cool to wear White Sox gear. Gangsta rap was huge and the black and white sox hat was the thing to wear. I had my old school red, blue and white hat that I got the last year at old Comiskey and some punk stole it from me while I was playing basketball at the Y. I don't think I've ever quite gotten over that. That was my first favorite baseball hat.
