A Step Back

It occurs to me that as we all think back over the season, what an amazing ride it's been. It's united us all here - fans all across the country (and hell, the WORLD (hey Credepopsup and Deplorer!!) - cheering for the same team.

And here we are, 1-1 in the ALCS... with the potential to make it all the way.

No matter what happens, this Sox team has created more memories then any other in two generations.

What a ride it's been, and may this train keep on chugging along, all the way to 7 more W's.

:cheers

If we had folded at the end of the regular season, the team would have been skinned alive.

If they lose it here now, they come back home as a team that will have inspired thousands of kids to pick up and bat and ball, and desevedly so. At first I was saying that if we got to the post we would be in trouble, that was going off of August and September, as I wasn't sure we could re-bound. But now, yes I want to see a Series victory, but this team has proven to be a highlight of my life. I'm 35, and yet I feel like a kid when I see AJ, Gooch, Crede, Paulie, any of my team on TV being interviewed. When FOX interviewed AJ in Anaheim yesterday, I stopped everything I was doing just to hear him, and hushed everybody around me.

No matter where these guys go after this season, they are all a part of something REALLY special right now and have gained a place in all of our hearts, and I don't think any of them will ever be boo'ed at the Cell when they return.

***that last line is the naive side of me, as I know anybody will get ripped a new one from time to time*** :D :D :D

indeed, this is a great team, and im looking forward to next year, and the remainder of the playoffs as well.

And the thing is, you never know what the future will bring, so be sure to enjoy it NOW!

:cheers Go-Go you White Sox, Chicago (and much of the world) is proud of you! :cheers
