southsider2k5
With the victory over the Angels last night, that gave the White Sox their 104th win of the year. This ties the 1917 White Sox for the most victories in any season, when the post season totals are added in. Just another interesting milestone to a hell of a season. Texsox
Clemens smiled as he recalled his mother spending some of her last moments asking about Andy Pettitte's surgically repaired left elbow, wondering if the Astros were already in the playoffs and even dropping mentions of Shoeless Joe Jackson. Texsox
HOUSTON -- In the final hours of her life, Rogers Clemens' mother was talking about baseball. "This is momma, she was thinking baseball. She came to and asked if we were in the playoffs yet," Clemens said. "Out of nowhere came, she mentioned Shoeless Joe Jackson. It was unbelievable. ... I asked her if she was in the fields, and she said, `I think I am.' She just loves the game." KHOU Linkage
