October 17, 200520 yr I know we all blasted him when he sent Rowand earlier in the series with no one out, so I think we should give him his props for sending Aaron on Crede's infield signal. It was an agressive call and I don't think many 3rd base coaches would have sent him. It put pressure on Kennedy, whose throw was off-line and late. Also Rowand really came up huge that inning, going from 0-2 to drawing the walk and did a great job hustling on the base paths.
October 17, 200520 yr All in all Cora does a great job as a 3rd base coach in my opinion. Good job Joey.
October 17, 200520 yr QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) All in all Cora does a great job as a 3rd base coach in my opinion. Good job Joey. Agreed. He's been slammed a few times and I probably chimed in myself. But Joey, you're OK!!!
October 17, 200520 yr I wasnt sure if he had sent Rowand or if Aaron just went by himself, but if Cora sent him, great call
October 17, 200520 yr That was a great move by Cora...but I still have problems with him, in particular his failure to realize how slow Pierzynski and Konerko are. You simply cannot send those 2 if there's any chance at a close play.
October 17, 200520 yr Yeah exactly I like him being aggressive with our fast guys but not with Konerko and AJ who are so damn slow... also that game 2 call was horrible with 0 outs but still nice job yesterday recognizing that Kennedy wouldnt be able to make the throw.
October 17, 200520 yr Joey "Windmill Arm" Cora has done a terrific job as 3rd base coach. hes offensive and takes risks. sometimes they work, some times they dont but they usually do. id like to know how many games we won thanks to the stellar coaching of Joey and my man Rock Raines.
