Roger Clemens

Featured Replies

Did you guys here this story? They said it during game 3's telecast of the NLCS. Roger Clemens mother kept on saying "Shoeless Joe, Shoeless Joe, Shoeless Joe.." Before she past away. Is this a good omen or a bad omen?! Maybe she saw that Shoeless Joe's spirit will help the White Sox beat her son Roger in the world series? Whatever this means its creepy....

Wtf? That's very strange. Was she a Sox fan?

Check back a day or two, we've had a thread on this.

It's a weird, weird story. She also said the stros would win 10 to 2 that day and they did.

Yeah I saw it. Thought it was kind of odd.

I'm a little superstitious...but for mega voodoo superstitions out there, I'd purely assume it's a good omen...talking about how the "Curse of Shoeless Joe" will be lifted. I'm not superstitious enough to go by omens and such...the Sox keep playing like they've been playing, they'll win it.

nope. maybe she saw shoeless joe's spirit before she past? I dunno...? Maybe its a good sign. Maybe this will end the curse of Shoeless Joe Jackson and the Blacksox scandal. Maybe Shoeless Joe will guide us to our first World Series from the heavens!! She obviously saw something...

Roger said his mother did say that and us and his team would be in the world series. It was odd because she told him to pitch for her and the score would be 12-1 or something like that. Whats f***ed up is that was the actual score in that game.

She wasn't a Sox fan so to speak, but from what I have heard, she was quite the baseball nut and historian. I guess when your kid is considered the best ever, you might take on an interest?
