Alex Cintron

Featured Replies

I can't read the article, but here's the Rotoworld snippet;

Sources told the East Valley Tribune that the White Sox are interested in acquiring Diamondbacks infielder Alex Cintron.

The paper speculates that the Diamondbacks could get Neal Cotts in return for Cintron, but that's not happening. Even Damaso Marte could be a reach. Cintron is available in trade talks since Arizona no longer sees him as a candidate to play regularly. Oct. 26 - 3:53 am et

Marte for Cintron huh? Meh, sounds ok, but I woul rather get a better piece. The guy usually kills us though.

I think we can get more for the winner of game 3 of the World Series :P

Yeah right team, but the wrong player. Although I think Marte could be used as part of a larger package.

Wouldn't trading for Cintron be a diss to either Uribe or Gooch?

Would Cintron be the utility infielder? That's what I thought.

I think Cintron would be used as the major utility guy, which were originally the plans for Uribe when we were going after Vizquel.

Oh. I guess that could be the case.

OK then. Makes perfect sense now. I'm all for it. As long as we don't have to give up Cotts.

Neal's definitely going nowhere. Especially if Marte goes, we definitely need at least 1 good lefty out of the pen, and young players like Cotts who are very affordable and post good numbers, are important to hang onto.

My Bulls*** detectors are going off the charts with this Rotoworld "news" story.

Maybe the Sox will trade Marte for Overbay...type deal if Konerko doesn't get resigned....

Taking the job away from Blum will be harder now than it was before, though :P

Where would he play?

He is one for six in his career against the white sox.

Cintron sucks balls. You might as well keep blum ( and i would have said this before the homerun).
