Texsox
Once the Blackhawks finally win a Stanley Cup, all the major professional sports teams in Chicago will have won in my adult lifetime. I was a wee lad when the Hawks last hoisted Lord Stanley's Cub.
kapkomet
Not in this lifetime. I thought they'd turn it around, at least a little, this year. THEY SUCK ASS, at least on my one game sample size.

kapkomet
Oh by the way, I like how you conveniently forgot one of the other "major" sports teams. WTG!
Kalapse
I have an honest question here. Is the NHL still a major sport? IMO there are three major sports now; MLB, NFL, NBA.

I was a wee lad when the Hawks last hoisted Lord Stanley's Cub. I was two years away from existing when the Hawks last carried the best trophy in any sport around the ice, and 1992 was the best chance I had to see them win it again. It stung to see the wrong team carrying it around the Stadium ice, I'll tell you that. The Blackhawk organ-I-zation is stuck in neutral. I was a wee lad when the Hawks last hoisted Lord Stanley's Cub. That aint happening in our lifetimes. As long as someone named Wirtz owns that team you can expect a team that is built for mediocracy at the very best.

THEY SUCK ASS, at least on my one game sample size. They've sucked ass ever since they let Jeremy Roenick go. Its been all downhill since then. I love to kick this team when its down. They are SOOOOOOOOOOOO deserving of it.

I was in the second balcony for most of the game. Then went to the mezzanine for most of the third. No one was in the mood to enforce tickets. My buddy Joe had season tickets and I wanted to see him. Great to see the Cup in person, sad to see a Penguin holding it.

I had split some season tickets with 3 other guys, so I got a later game ( six, I think? ), which obviously went unused. Kind of glad I didn't have to be there in person to see the wrong team win it. That would suck.....kind of like it sucked for Astros fans. ( Sorry, but I had to cheer myself up after thinking about the Blackhawks for too long ) I took a picture with the Cup once, when they had it at the UC for a charity thing. 5 bucks per shot, "NO TOUCHING IT!!!!!!" even though EVERYONE did, including me. IlliniKrush
I was at both those Stanley Cup Finals games, and it hurt like hell to see the Cup being carried around the ice by Mario. Cool to see the Cup, but it was painful.
Queen Prawn
It was great seeing the Canes in a final. I hope to see the Sens (with them hoisting the cup) within the next few years.
Chisoxfn
I was 2 when the Bears won the Super Bowl...that has moved up to next on my sports priority list. I'll tell you guys whether I'm a Hawks fan or not at some point this year. I've narrowed my choices to Dallas, Boston, Chicago and Detroit. I like the history of the teams (well Boston, Chicago and Detroit) and when it comes to each team they also have a player I really like (Modano, Thorton, Chicago city factor, and than Chelios and Dasyuk). Heads22
I'm a closet Stars fan. With the affiliation with the Iowa Stars, it's seeming more natural.
