December 16, 200520 yr Chicago gets: Eric Chavez (Oakland), Justin Duchscherer (Oakland) Oakland gets: Jon Garland (CWS), Justin Germano (Cincy), Austin Kearns (Cincy) Cincy gets: Joe Crede (CWS), mid-level prospects (Oakland) I take that over Blalock, Wilkerson and a 'spect. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I doubt that the Reds would want Crede. They already have a highly rated third base prospect in Edwin Encarnacion. Also, the A's are already stacked with outfielders -- Milton Bradley, Mark Kotsay, Jay Payton, Nick Swisher, and Bobby Kielty. They aren't going to want another one. I would absolutely love to get Chavez and Duchscherer (I love that curve!) but this trade scenerio isn't realistic. Edited December 16, 200520 yr by SSH2005

December 16, 200520 yr QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 09:42 AM) I said it in a different thread... Ken Griffey Jr wouldn' shock me at all. It would shock me, simply because we have nowhere to put him. He's a liablility in CF these days.

I love Griffey and do believe he can still play CF. I don't think he could play it for a full schedule though, and the DH role seems to not be available with the World Champions.
