December 16, 200520 yr They probably gave a lot of the lowest numbers to members of the team and PR staff as keepsakes. just a guess
December 16, 200520 yr QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) They probably gave a lot of the lowest numbers to members of the team and PR staff as keepsakes. just a guess A lot of times with numbered print runs, the press or the client (in this case, I'm referring to SI) will retain the lowest numbers. There is no real way to know.

December 17, 200520 yr QUOTE(kapkomet @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 07:39 PM) holy s***. you all got some low #'s. Mines in the 1000's. I got mine three days ago tho. It is 77 for the SI book, 91 for the CS bat, and 19 for the WS bat. I also got a picture with some comiskey park dirt - that's 115. My crystal ball is 99. The rest of the stuff is in the basement and I'm too lazy to go look. I didn't get my WS balls yet though. I imagine those are numbered also...?
December 17, 200520 yr Am I the only one disappointed that the SI book is merely the world series magazine with a hard cover? I thought it would be new material but maybe I'm naive.

December 17, 200520 yr QUOTE(Steff @ Dec 17, 2005 -> 06:28 PM) That's all they said it would be. I never saw that. Oh well...it's a nice cover.
