January 4, 200620 yr Pretty much rules out the Dodgers trading for Contreras; Frustrated in their attempts to acquire Danys Baez, Newsday is reporting that the Mets will acquire Duaner Sanchez from the Dodgers for Jae Seo. It's all but finalized and likely will be announced by the end of the week, according to the paper. This looks like a fair trade for both teams. Sanchez would work in the seventh or eighth inning for the Mets, depending on what kind of role Aaron Heilman has. Seo would fill the fifth spot in the Dodgers' rotation behind Derek Lowe, Brad Penny, Odalis Perez and Brett Tomko, allowing Edwin Jackson and Chad Billingsley to open the year in Triple-A. As for Baez, he might end up with the Braves if the Mets are out of the chase. Jan. 4 - 3:54 am et
January 4, 200620 yr Never heard of the guy... idonno why the mets value Seo so little he seem like he was dominating for awhile last season.

January 4, 200620 yr Sanchez pitched against us and is young with electric stuff. Good pick up for the Mets.
January 5, 200620 yr I wouldn't call it dumb at all. Seo will be a very solid back of the rotation starter with potential for more. Also will be two seasons until he even hits arbitration I believe. Edited January 5, 200620 yr by 3E8
