Carson Palmer's Torn Knee "possibly career ending"

CINCINNATI -- Carson Palmer's knee injury was "devastating and potentially career-ending," involving numerous ligament tears, a shredded ligament, damaged cartilage and a dislocated kneecap, his surgeon said Thursday.

That is some bad stuff. I feel bad for him and the Bengals. Here you get a guy who comes into his own and looks like a stud the next ten years and the Bengals reward him and boom, his career is in jeopardy.

Lets just hope he is ok and can play again soon.

I hope he's ok.

idonno maybe 5-10 years ago it would be but I think now with all that s*** they can do that he will play again but maybe it just wont be next season..... whatevr happens I wish him the best of luck.

I was about to say the same thing. I'd be SHOCKED if this was a career ending injury for Palmer. I think he's gonna be a special qb. I hope and pray he'll be ready to go come next season.

Thats really bad. Carson's a great QB and seems to be a good guy.

He had a lot of potential and I hope he makes a comeback.

That was pretty shocking to see that after the team had said it wasn't bad at first.

I hope him the best.

Wow, tears, dislocation, and shreds!?!?! Just, wow. I really hope this isn't career ending. I really liked Carson.

I was really hoping to see him take it to the Steelers and then go on to challenge the Colts. It sucks that their season had to end like that. Nobody wants to see a team lose because of a freak injury.........that is unless they're playing the Bears, then anything goes. :D

There goes next years fantasy pick, hope the guy heals, he was gonna be a good one, this could very well change the Bengals whole mindset on the draft also, hell maybe even trade up to get Cutler or Leinart since the Bengals have some nice young players that teams would want.

Hope he gets better

I have a soft spot in my heart for the Bengals (comes from driving past the stadium when Brain and I were following the Cyclones) and Carson Palmer grew on me. I hope the surgery works and he is back on the field next year.

Now I am truly convinced that the Bengals are cursed, bad stuff happens to them everyday

Carson should be ok, it was wonderful news that although there were tears, none of them were complete tears, which would have been harder to rehabilitate. I expect to see him sitting out alot of training camp, but I believe he will be Cincy's opening day starter with a knee brace(hopefully one that actually helps this time).

I hope he is alright, he is my favorite Bengal!

I like him, and even Chad Johnson....because he's like TO, only not really that evil...
