Wilson Alvarez

Featured Replies

Does anyone think the sox should give him a shot and try to bring him in maybe as a non roster player

Id love to give him a shot but I think he is done for his career.

hes done, dont waste any resources on him

Alvarez has a bad shoulder and said he is retiring.

Wilson has always been one of my favorite players, and that wold be nice and a bit nostalgic, but I don't think it's gonna happen :P

I say...give him a chance...in the front office.

me too. i thought he had retired a few years back. i gotta tip my hat to him for such a long career. most dont last that long.

nah, pass on signing him. i always liked alverez though.

McDowell, Fernandez, Alverez, Bere. They all were pretty sucessful with the Sox, but afterwards they didn't have that great of a career. Fernandez did win a World Series ring but that's about it.

Alverez is a pimp... I say if he wants an invitation to camp then we bring him there in a limo, first class...

But I doubt it'll happen...

I'd see no problem bringing him in to compete against the slew of lefties if he wasn't injured... What would it hurt?
