February 27, 200620 yr I saw in another place where they misgraded his test, Young retook the test and scored a 16 on it. http://msnbc.msn.com/id/11590315/
February 27, 200620 yr I'd have to think it might be a bit easier the second time around. A 16 is still nothing to write home about. The average NFL QB is a 24.
February 27, 200620 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 02:13 PM) I'd have to think it might be a bit easier the second time around. A 16 is still nothing to write home about. The average NFL QB is a 24. Lots of guys practice for it. Anybody else ever taken it? It's a bit trickier to score high than I expected...guess I'm not that smart.
February 27, 200620 yr It's pretty crazy some of the scores. Dan Marino scored a 14 I believe, Alex Smith had one of the highest in history, it can only show so much. But it is very questionable how some of these guys manage to make it gradewise at top universities like UT etc.
February 27, 200620 yr QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 03:35 PM) What a dumb test. These are questions you ask someone in 5th or 6th grade. It's timed.
February 27, 200620 yr 16 on the the second try is almost as embarrasing as 6 on the first try. What do you think is going to happen if some team drafts this guy and, after about a year, he is throwing lots of picks and having trouble picking up defensive reads. Fans will be all over whatever team picks Young for not paying attention to the giant red flag this test throws up. ... then again, he could go to the pro bowl for all I know. But if he struggles, he is going to be cast as one of the dumbest athetes of all time. Edited February 27, 200620 yr by AbeFroman
February 27, 200620 yr QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 09:40 PM) It's timed. For 5 minutes for 15 questions. The test that ESPN provided was a joke. A grade-schooler could easily pass it. I took it and got a 14/15. Got 13 wrong becasue of a simple mathmatical error.
February 28, 200620 yr I took one and only missed 1 question and I don't think I'm close to being a genius.
February 28, 200620 yr going to be cast as one of the dumbest athetes of all time. Not quite, here is a list of players that scored under a 18 in the past. Vince Wilfork Larry Fitzgerald Roy Williams Reggie Williams Kevin Jones Tatum Bell Julius Jones Vernon Carey Travelle Wharton Karlos Dansby Chris Gamble Ahmad Carroll Dunta Robinson Vontez Duff Sean Taylor Keneche Udeze Tommie Harris Tank Johnson Those are just some notable names from the last few years. Some of the numbers are just scary. Especially the amount of Miami players on the list, I didn't even add about 5 names of there guys, sad.
February 28, 200620 yr QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 07:22 PM) I took one and only missed 1 question and I don't think I'm close to being a genius. The test is 50 questions, and it's timed at 12 minutes, I believe. The number that you get right is your score. The time has as much to do with it as the difficulty of the questions. Are you sure that's the one you took? I only took it because graduates from the DePaul I/O psych. program work at Wonderlic, so they came into my stats class a couple of years ago to talk about it. They also gave us a test to take and were very careful to make sure that they got every copy back because it was one they were still developing/testing. Can't remember what I scored but I know it wasn't very high...
February 28, 200620 yr It's timed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Phfft. I could take a test with that stuff in about 15 minutes, and since it's multiple choice, just scribble in some answers at the end if you're out of time.

Maybe it's just me, but I think it's a BIGGER deal when a qb scores under an 18.
February 28, 200620 yr No doubt, but its not the end of the world for Vince. If Dan Marino can make it past his 14 that he scored, then Vince can overcome his 16.

Vince got a 6 at first though, I'm sure the 14 was atleast on Dan's first try Edited February 28, 200620 yr by Rowand44
February 28, 200620 yr Don't forget JP Losman registered a stellar 14 before his 31 on his re-try, lets see what Vince does on his re-try. Jim Sorgi also got a 14, same as David Gerrard, Daunte Culpepper with a 15 his first try. Aaron Brooks a 17, Donovan McNabb with a 12 and then a 16, Steve McNair with a 15, Elvis Grbac a 16, Neil ODonnell a 13, Jeff Blake a 17, Vinny Testeverde an 18, Randall Cunningham a 15 etc etc.
February 28, 200620 yr Vince got a 6 at first though, I'm sure the 14 was atleast on Dan's first try No, that was a grading error, they had to re-grade Vince's entire group because the guy screwed up, Vince didn't score a 6.

February 28, 200620 yr QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 10:48 PM) You can't answer easy questions in 12 minutes? That's more than enough time. It's 50 questions, and they vary in difficulty. I think they progressively get harder.
