Fordyce entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals in 2004. A two-time all-Patriot League selection as a punter and place-kicker at Fordham University, Fordyce has spent each of the past two summers in training camp with the Cardinals but has never appeared in an NFL regular-season game.
