March 31, 200620 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 11:58 AM) The college game has passed the NBA, by quite a bit, in my eyes. It's not even close.
April 1, 200620 yr QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 01:16 PM) So should they not be able to wear Brace's either. I realize Brace's deal more with an injury thing but Kobe wore those compression tights because he said they helped him respond in back to back games, etc. Plus it helped keep his muscles warm when he was working back from an injury. I don't go to the game to see what the players wear, I go or watch because I want to see them play. The NBA needs to realize that. The dress code isn't the issue, its the lack of fundementals in this league thats the problem. When AND1 became popular, basketball in general, went down the drain.
April 1, 200620 yr QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 12:32 PM) LeBron only wore his temporarily, to get some compression in his knee, b/c it was a bit sore. Well, I wasn't wrong. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) When AND1 became popular, basketball in general, went down the drain. This is what you call a wildly unfounded statement.
April 2, 200620 yr If your house is falling down, a new paint job won't solve your problems. I think this is the problem with NBA dress codes, whether or not I agree with them (and as was the case with the sideline dress code, I do.) I think that there are very real problems with the league that aren't being solved in lieu of another dress code crackdown. Tights under short denim skirts can be sexy if you're female, but if you make millions of dollars a year playing basketball, you look like a clown.

April 2, 200620 yr Not being a player, I don't particularly care. But I do think there's something to be said for the fact that they're indoors and players have been playing without them for a long time.
April 4, 200620 yr Banning them is stupid. If someone really wanted to make a fashion statement on the court, they would wear a tutu or a toga.
April 4, 200620 yr The tights are worn as a way to keep the legs from cramping up, not as a fashion statement. If they were just some stupid fashion statement, I'd agree with the NBA, but it's not so I don't.
