April 2, 200620 yr http://texas.rangers.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/ne...t=.jsp&c_id=tex Rangers deal Dellucci to Phillies Trade nets Tejada as starter to fill in for Eaton By T.R. Sullivan / MLB.com The Rangers have traded outfielder David Dellucci to the Phillies for pitchers Robinson Tejada and outfielder Jake Blalock. The trade leaves the Rangers with an outfield for Brad Wilkerson in left, Laycne Nix in center and Kevin Mench in right. Adrian Brown made the team as a reserve outfielder. Tejada is expected to join the Rangers rotation and replace Adam Eaton, who has decided to have surgery on his right middle finger and is expected to miss 12 weeks. Tejada was 4-3 with a 3.57 ERA in 26 games (13 starts) for the Phillies as a rookie last year. He also pitched for the Dominican Republic in the recent World Baseball Classic.
April 2, 200620 yr Author I think the Rangers just robbed the Phillies really. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They did, and all for a fourth outfielder. Burrell--Rowand--Abreu? Stupid trade here by Gillick.
April 2, 200620 yr Author By the way, Jake Blalock is Hank's brother so he might get to play with his bro now.

April 2, 200620 yr QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 10:51 PM) They did, and all for a fourth outfielder. Burrell--Rowand--Abreu? Stupid trade here by Gillick. Sure appears that way. Perhaps the Phillies are concerned about his longterm durability, and were attempting to get something from him now.
April 2, 200620 yr Headline: Tejada, Blalock and Delucci involved in deal. Wouldn't that give people something to wake up to in the morning?
