Where would the Pistons be without Billups?  Where would the Suns be without Nash?

No one can answer that. But the Pistons sure as hell wouldn't be a title contender and the Suns wouldn't be a #2 seed.

Neither are Marion, Diaw, and Barbosa.

Besides Marion they are not in the same league as Sheed, Rip, Ben, and Prince.

Barbosa isn't but Diaw is. Diaw is an absolutely terrific all around player and defender.

You are right, Diaw is a good player. I'm not trying to say he's not, I love him in fact. But he does not yet impact the game as much as Ben Wallace or Rip Hamilton does, JMO. Billups played for a team that started the same lineup for almost every game of the entire season. Nash led a team that was without it's best interior player for all but 3 games.

I'm not trying to take anything about from Billups but his surrounding cast was much more of an established unit than the group Nash led.

The Suns had 6 regular rotation guys playing over 15 minutes that weren't even with them last year and Nash played a huge part in holding it all together and having them gel as quickly as they did.

Kobe was the MVP and Bron should have been 2nd.

Nash winning is bulls*** IMO.

The whole reason he won is because they didn't lose a beat despite Amare getting hurt all season. People forget that he has an all-star sidekick in Shawn Marion and a nice supporting cast. And he plays no defense at all.

as much as it pains me to say this but kobe is the most valuable to his team HANDS DOWN

No Chandler?? There's always next year??

:huh Blame Canada.

It would take all the writes to be real blockheads (or hammerheads) to vote him

Balta and Whitesoxfan101, same person, or just same brain?

Same brain, so in other words Balta needs help ASAP.

I disagree with this statement.

I don't think anyone else doubts that Kobe is the best player in the NBA. But Steve Nash makes each of his teammates a WHOLE lot better. If Phoenix didn't have Nash, suddenly players like Boris Diaw and Tim Thomas would be go back to thier old ways.

Kobe just wants to score at will, and that doesn't really help his teammates much.

Kobe haters, bow down, that's all I can say.

Nash is still the MVP, if the refs had called fouls at the end of regulation and OT like they should have, the Suns win the game.

Oh how funny it could be when the Bulls bounce Miami in the first round and the Lakers find themselves in the Western finals.

Its looking like it will be Clippers and Lakers second round.
