I really hate iPods, but I'm the minority probably.

 

I'm much more of a Creative Zen person. I've had a few of the HDD ones (although I end up breaking them by dropping the bag they were in, which really gets frustrating after awhile), but I finally went to a flash player for ease.

I currently have this one (512 mb):

I don't get why people would buy the Nano's when the 60GB is just a little bit more expensive. Some of those Nano's run around $250, so for $150 more you get 56GB more. Seems rather silly to buy anything less than the 60GB to me.

MY 20 GB Zen was dropped one too many times and I had close to 400 songs on there which most of them I just flipped through anyways.

 

I got the 2GB nano a few weeks ago for $176, and I feel good knowing it's ok to drop the thing. (I haven't yet though )

Are Ipods a better choice for those like me that drop s*** all the time?

Yeah. Be sure to use amazon.com for finding an mp3 player. They list the specs and weights for all the different players. Having the nano is like holding onto a credit card that plays 500 songs (for a 2 GB like mine.)

My iPod just crashed today... It's been freezing lately a lot and today when I turned it on it worked fine and then I switched songs, it froze and then gave me the stupid frown icon. I had about 4 gigs of music in it.

My mini has been nothing short of stellar.

and now after screwing around with it for a little my music reappears.

My 20 gb Ipod has been solid since I got it. I had one little strange occurence, which is really hard to explain, but it hasnt happened again.

Warrenty replacement HD failed

2nd warrenty replacement failed two weeks outside of warrenty. They did zero, zip, nothing for him. Said too bad, the 20 gig had problems, buy a new one.

well, the ipod has revolutionized the way people listen and share music. MP3 players were around before the IPOD, I had the creative jukebox for example. But ipod's interface, and portability really increased awareness and the useability of MP3's as a whole.

I know the model I have (4th gen 20 gig) has been the problem ipod. If you look on ebay more than 75% of the broken ipods being sold are ones like mine. Does anyone know of any problems with the ipod mini's?

I think the iPods were all rebelling because your son kept plugging them into a souped up cheap iron Wintel box instead of a mac.
