The media will say that it was a good first start and note the fact that he did not hit a batter or get injured again while on the mound.

Next time he will be ready, next time.

It will sound more like, the wind only picking up when the nats were at the bat, blew those balls out of hte park.

I was watching the game in the AV room for a bit, and I said Soriano would jack one when he came up. First pitch, guess what? :headbang :headbang :headbang :headbang :headbang :headbang :headbang :headbang

Were those homers on simulated pitches or real pitches?

dusty ws complaining that these simulated hitters were actually hitting the ball. The MLB turned down a request by the cubs to substitue 19 year old single A players for the start.

So Ramirez is hurt, too?

Where did you hear this, they could be resting him before the series this weekend?

So Ramirez is hurt, too?

I guess so. And I can see the Cubs still refusing to call up Pie

Why would they call up Pie if Ramirez is hurt? And there's a reason that Pie's not been called up yet....many people feel he's not close to being polished enough to produce at the MLB level.

No Lee AND Ramirez. Wow.

Well, other than the 3 bombs, Wood hasn't looked too bad.
