:D checking out the new poll feature.

My TV serves mostly as a monitor for my DVD player.

Well, that was until I went HD!!!

I watch more reruns of shows that aren't new than anything else.

However, most of the time, there's always a game on, if I'm watching TV.

80% of the time that my TV is on, something sports is on.

The only new show that I will schedule my life around is 'the office'.

Everything else is usual a mix of the discovery channel, a&e, or the history channel

I only watch sports on TV, minus a few episodes of seinfeld, aqua teen hunger force, or family guy. That's about it.

The History Channel!

try to catch original airings but that isnt always possible so probably an equal mix of two. my favorite shows are also pretty equal mix between 30 min shows (Earl, Family Guy), 60 min dramas (ALIAS), documentaries (History Channel, etc.), and kinda reality type shows (Deadliest Catch, Mythbusters, American Chopper & Hot Rod, etc.) as well as sports...sports usually trumps all else unless special show or something or it will be a while before i get chance to see rerun--like last night watched 70s show finale and switched to game during commercials (no tivo :crying)...

i'm loving how abc has been offering their shows online free for past month or so. thats how i've been able to catch alias since it came back because i'm gone most wednesday nights... :drink

I'm usually too busy or lazy to remember when TV shows come on, so I usually just rent the seasons on DVD later. I'm not a big TV watcher in the first place outside of baseball.

Always re-runs, I hardly ever watch a first airing.

Most of my TV-watching is right before bed and while going to bed. I watch sports mainly, also news programs. Mad Money is my usual show, right before bed.

Sports, History Channel, Discovery Channel (standard and health) and Food Channel. Occasionally, I throw in Sci-Fi and A&E.

I must say though, I was doing my best to keep up with The Office. Then I went ahead and got the DVD's for the British series. Not so sure I can return to the US. Steve Carrel is sooo dang annoying in comparison to Ricky Gervais.

It's harder for me to "get" Ricky Gervais on the show. I think its more along the lines of which version you see first as to which version you'll like better.

Probably. But I did see the US version first, and loved it. I just find Mike Scott (hate to say that as I love The Waterboys...) to be much too mean. David Brent is just dim-witted and doesn't really get what he is saying much of the time. Whereas Mike is just a jerk most of the time. If it wasn't for the US versions stellar surrounding cast, I don't think I could watch any of the US version anymore.

:cheers

I just started watching this probably about half a year ago, and have been recording all of the episodes onto my computer, which then get placed onto DVD's :)

My tv lineup is pretty simple....

whitesox

family guy

seinfeld

espn

history channel

weather channel

sopranos

that about all i watch, and im usually on the computer while I am watching tv

I don't watch a lot of tv, but I do make sure my schedule allows for The Office and My Name is Earl.

When it's on I'll also usually watch American idol (though it's not exclusive viewing, more like cleaning the kitchen or doing homework while watching).

I also love Veronica Mars, but I don't get the channel that it's on, so I have to wait until the seasons come out on dvd.

HD does indeed change one's watching habits. I rarely watch programming not in HD anymore.
