I thought Baker handled that interview very well.

 

He said he asked Barrett what happened and said Barrett was upset because AJP hit him without the ball. Baker said "that's baseball" and said it was just Barrett's frustration boiling over. He clearly did not defend Barretts actions.

and he shouldn't have. It wasn't Hunter-esque at all. He was blocking the plate and he got some sense knocked into him.

Dusty said Barrett was upset that he was hit when he didn't have the ball - maybe next time he should not block the plate until he catches the stupid thing, if that's his thinking.

 

 

no kidding. if you're going to block the plate, you better be prepared to take the hit.

 

i certainly wouldn't want to be in the way when the AJP train is coming in..
