I'm sorry, but I just don't like leaving Mark in after he battled all day, and after he just got taken off the hook. Not at 100+ pitches.

 

Broussard's a lefty - maybe Ozzie wanted that exploit that matchup? Doesn't sound like a bad plan to me, especially considering that he yanked him right after that at-bat.

 

Mark threw about 120-125 pitches. That's a lot, but not dangerously excessive.

Jenks's ERA = 2.96.

I take my chance with them trying to bunt 99 mph over trying to hit a 2 run dong off of someone with over 110 pitches.

 

I would have never had Buehrle throw a pitch if they didn't show they were bunting. I didn't mind the decision to leave Buehrle in to face Brossard. He's so much better against RHP.
