June 7, 200322 yr He and Wood collided on an infield pop up and his head hit the dirt VERY hard. This doesn't look good.
June 7, 200322 yr They put him on a backboard, and took him off of the field on a stretcher. I am praying that it is worse than it looks. Sorry guys again, I really messed up typing this. I meant that I hope it wasn't as bad as it looked. Edited June 7, 200322 yr by southsider2k3
June 7, 200322 yr This is ugly. When I first saw him go down he was just sitting there and I never saw him move. Lenny Harris was holding his hand. I really hope Choi is alright and that he just suffered a concussion. This doesn't look good though.
June 7, 200322 yr They put him on a backboard, and took him off of the field on a stretcher. I am praying that it is worse than it looks. WHAT! I'll tkae that as a typo for now. I dont care what you teams you may hate, or your hatred of thier players... However to say something like I am praying that it is worse than it looks. Is completly uncalled for. Pitiful.
June 7, 200322 yr that was messed up. A buddy of mine from Cleveland called me to tell me to turn on Fox to see the replay. wow. As much as I hate the Cubs, I hope the dude is okay.

I've read your posts and you never came across that way to me.
June 7, 200322 yr By the time I tuned in he was already in the ambulance. Was he at least moving before being loaded in? Scary. southsider don't worry after all your posts here I think every rational thinking person realizes that was a typo. However, you may wish to go back and edit
June 7, 200322 yr I was concerned about paralysis. He looked aweful on the ground after the impact. Gotta call them balls.
June 7, 200322 yr southsider2k3 is a good guy, pure typo, as we all have done. Isn't that the nightmare of all nightmares as far as a typo Another good reason not to be troll . . . Your reputation and manners means a lot.
June 7, 200322 yr They did just say that Choi was alert and moving in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
June 7, 200322 yr Author They did just say that Choi was alert and moving in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. I heard that, and that is very good. When his head hit the ground, it looked ugly immediatley.
June 7, 200322 yr I heard that, and that is very good. When his head hit the ground, it looked ugly immediatley. Great news indeed. Didnt mean to offend you... just thought the comment was in bad taste...
June 7, 200322 yr Great news indeed. Didnt mean to offend you... just thought the comment was in bad taste... They normally (as you all are aware) just put him on the backboard just in case of a spinal injury.... Hopefully he'll be back in action soon, and hopefully he won't have any lasting ramifications (like messed up vision), because he's going to be one hell of a ballplayer.
June 7, 200322 yr All I saw on FOX was that he is currently being held at the hospital in "serious condition". Poor guy.
June 7, 200322 yr Latest from Yahoo!: 1) His condition is now fair (formerly serious) 2) "I can tell you one thing. Heep Seop did ask how Woody was doing,'' Cubs trainer Dave Tumbas said without elaborating. In other words, he remembers colliding (unless they told him what happened), which is a good thing.
