Just to let everyone know Joe Crede will be winning a gold glove this year. That's right he's actually going to get enough national attention to warrant winning the award. You can take my word for it especially seeing how I'm just about the most pessimistic person around these parts when it comes to players winning awards.

HEY PIERZYNSKI EAT THIS, b****!

I predict he won't. I could care less about awards....I want him to get it going again offensively. His bat speed is real slow right now.

Will try Melissa.

Matthews grounds out after seeing 7 pitches, young grounds out softly, Teixeira strikes out swinging.

End of 1, 0-0

haha im watching the game now..thanks anyways :)

Have you ever really seen Pierz b**** about getting hit? I seem to recall him enjoying it most every time, hey it's a free baserunner.

Crede strikes out.

1-11 now since returning to the lineup

GLoad grounds into what couldve been a DP, but only 1 at 2nd out

Gload FC.. AJ slides over 2b .. nearly into left center.

lol

Cintron ground out.

inning over.

nah chavez will. everyone is probably gunna hate me for saying this but i think chavez is a better defensive 3b and has been great this year.

It's about time their 3-4 did some damage. That won't be the only homer they hit tonight.

Not a huge fan of Chavez' range, just about every A's game I've seen he ends up diving for a ball that Rolen or even Crede just turn and grab. I think maybe his reflexes are a little slow.

Mr. first half, Ballpark in Arlington, against RHP goes deep.

Before anyone makes any dumbass "another HR givenup by Javy" post, it's only his 6th homer given up this year.

that pitch was absolutely crushed =/

Yep, he's been great keeping the ball in the park. The only reason I predicted that it won't be the only homer is just due to the ball flying out of this park.

i think chavez will win just because its a reputation thing. like no matter how good or bad jonez, hunter, ichiro, rolen do, they always win it

Nationally IMO Crede is considered the superior defensive 3B.

and it really wasn't a bad pitch.

Ross makes the catch out in right field. a guy who can play RF AND wear a 1st basemans mitt.... now thats talent.

Rowand didn't deserve it last year. He made too many miscues towards the end of the year. Also, his throwing arm was terrible last year. It doesn't even come close to comparing to the arms of the top CFs like Jones and Hunter.

There's no way that Hunter deserved it though he only played half the season, I do agree that Rowand made a good amount of mistakes and I definately agree on the arm but there's really no one else in the AL who deserved it more than Rowand (Kotsay especially.)

I don't even remember who won it....I think it was Hunter? Ever since Palmeiro won the GG at 1B, in a year where he primarily played DH, I don't really take the award that seriously. I still think Vernon Wells is a damn good CF.
