Not really. We had a deep fly out and Dye just missed connecting on a long ball also.

As I said, I'm only watching Gameday, and going back and forth I didn't see how deep the balls were. Still, it was a very quick inning for them.

Gotta keep Castillo in the park here. He has some power to the opposite field.

Where was that. Everybody was walking back.

Where was that pitch?

Damn...good AB by Castillo. Iguchi had been making that play as of late.

gooch has had some hard plays to make tonight

Everyone except the ump thought that was a strike.

I haven't had a chance to see Thornton pitch in awhile and wow, does he look impressive.

The Sox bullpen looks a helluva lot better than it did a month ago.

Impressive inning by Thornton. It should be Jenks for the 9th. Lets get another insurance run.

Jenks might get a chance to lead the AL in saves.

Our pen has been looking good lately. The power arms at the end of the pen, might make it hard for people to get good ABs.

He leads the league in save percentage I believe.

I'm so glad Matt Thornton turned it around, and we got him for Joe Borchard, Huzzah!

Pirates with their 18th pitcher tonight.

Yet another steal by KW.

AJ making a last minute push to make the ASG with his play tonight.

i agree with a lot of you here, i am really happy with our bullpen lately. Thornton has been unreal IMO, and Jenks has stopped any critics saying he wont continue his late season success of last year. If our bullpen can hold teams when we get in a little trouble, I will always have faith our offense can come back (like tonight).

I would however like more than one run for Bobby... lets go sox!

indeed, if we could get Oliver Perez, for say Rogo + mid level pitching prospect would you want Kenny to pull the trigger?

Joe West can be so good and so full of s*** sometimes.

Time for Big Bad Bobby!

The only question with O Perez. Isnt his agent Boras.

Hopefully Bobby gets Joker here and starts this inning out right.

Randa's been great vs us in the past in these situations.

In danger of walking him.
