July 11, 200619 yr Howard is just sick. Dude didn't even look like he was trying at first and still ends up with a bunch. It's comin' down to him or Ortiz. Edited July 11, 200619 yr by Jordan4life_2006
July 11, 200619 yr QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 10, 2006 -> 08:40 PM) I highly dislike Ryan Howard right now. You should worship him. If not for him, we wouldn't have Thome.
July 11, 200619 yr QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jul 10, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) Well, thats enough home run derby for me. Time to watch Mr. Belvedere. That show still comes on? lol.

July 11, 200619 yr Ok, I just turned the Derby back on, and just noticed something... Man Soo Lee has been doing all the catching tonight. EDIT: Oops, Funky beat me to it. Edited July 11, 200619 yr by KevHead0881

July 11, 200619 yr nice job JD.....oh well not really a big deal to me, and I don't think it was to JD much either
July 11, 200619 yr I've watched most of this (missed a bit here and there) and I think this year's has been somewhat dissapointing compared to past years. No one really has gone on a big tear sans Howard and Wright.

July 11, 200619 yr Or the 24 home runs in a round. Mark my words, no way anyone tops that one ever. Ryan Howard is some kind of power hitter! Man did he crush those!
July 11, 200619 yr Author Had anyone ever hit one of those signs before Howard did it on his last homer tonight?
July 11, 200619 yr QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jul 10, 2006 -> 10:06 PM) Ortiz was such a poser trying to be like Sammy with the backwards cap. Well then Sammy was copying Griffey.
July 11, 200619 yr QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 10, 2006 -> 10:10 PM) Well then Sammy was copying Griffey. thats true lol....
July 11, 200619 yr I'm glad the guys are hitting fewer homers. Those balls were so juiced last year I believe (recall Comerica is a pitchers park) I do think they juice the golden balls as well. Its not that big of a deal since its the whole point to see the balls fly out but its not worth getting excited about a specific number
July 11, 200619 yr Howards performance (esp the end) was one of the greastest I've ever seen in a long time. When he hit the prize sign and he didn't even notice (knew he won and hugged his Philly teammates/staff) that just put the icing on the cake. What makes it sweeter is he did it with a clean slate. Can't say much about that from alot of players.
