gojimthome
Who can resist the Widge's proficiency with the lumber? Who can deny his skill with the pitchout, as evidenced in the 6th inning today? Damn, he's good. I hope he never, ever, ever, ever gets DFA'd.

soxpride77
He's awesome, especially throwing runners out at second on a pitchout. Oh, and the hitting, I'm speechless......
DABearSoX
so is it ok to add a loss when widger is catching?
Milkman delivers
I want to apologize to Widger on behalf of the entire Soxtalk nation. We unjustly made him our whipping boy. If it weren't for a few rough spots here and there (and not due AT ALL to an entire season of awful play), we would have never been on his case. He's a good player and he brings a lot to the table. I'm certainly glad he's on this team.

DABearSoX
Even though it probably wasnt entirly his fault, i blame the game on widger today...gotta vent my frustration somehow
rowand's rowdies
let's give away 3 or 4 outs a game letting him play. I'm sorry Widge, you did a nice job last year, but we cant have a player play like this on a championship team... And its not just Widge's play that will hurt. We wont be able to rest AJ, he will wear out faster, and then we are hurting more. Bring back OLIVO!!!
Kalapse
So how many threads does the backup catcher have now? 3? 4? How about we just keep those going and stop clogging up PHT with the same repetitive crap?

Baines3
I'm not a fan of Widger, but I can't blame him for this loss.
SoxnGiants
I am in no way a Widger supporter... but if the pitcher only gives up 2 runs when he pitches I say he did his job.
LVSoxFan
You know, SoxnGiants has a point. If The Widgenator can't call a game to save his life, he just called one against the best team in baseball and we only gave up two runs. Trust me, I'm not a fan and I think people here have turned me against him (those numbers are spooky), just pointing that out.
