Danys Baez

Featured Replies

Seems like a good fit since he is struggling as a Dodger but could thrive back in the American league. The Dodgers have a couple good prospects down in the minors. Freddy for Baez and impact prospect seems very logical.

Baez has been brutal this year, bad speculating...

The last thing I want to see are all the threads about how Baez can't throw a strike.

Very lucky for the Dodgers they had Saito to fill in.

I have seen Baez a lot this year and he is struggling badly. Missing not only out of the zone but in the strike zone also. He also has been bailed out by pitching at Dodger Stadium. Saito I can bet at the begining of the season never thought he would be closing games for the Dodgers starting in June considering Gagne, Yhency Brazoban and then Danys Baez ahead of him.

It's funny how things work out sometimes isn't it.

But it also shows why it's SO important to have good depth in your bullpen in case these type of things come up.

I still don't think the Dodgers are about to deal Baez unless they get some help in return. They are in the race and while they have some solid young arms in the pen, they are going to need a vet like Baez to get things straightened out down the stretch.

The Dodgers could really use a starting pitcher. The only question thus far has been whether Coletti would give up any of the kids to get one. Maddux has been mentionned repeatedly out here.

That said, Baez is not worth either Garcia or Vazquez.

I don't think they're in that bad shape SP wise now, if Tomko can show he's over his injury problems (coming back out of the pen now anyways). At least for the Dodgers, Billingsley looks like he's settling down and really starting to produce.

Baez is not good. He's not an upgrade over anyone in our pen, and I'm including Tracey in that. No thanks :)

Bill can't go deep into games though. Really good arm and he's making some definite strides though. In fact he added a cutter to his arsenal and is already throwing it pretty well (first started to practice with it about 12 days ago).
