whitesoxownyou
I have been at WSI, but alot of people there seem to be kind of uptight, so I am back here where it seems more laid back (well it did a few months ago so hopefully it still is)... Neway... Do you guys think we could trade Cotts and some prospects for Pitts reliever Gonzalez... It's good to be back by the way.
rangercal
it is very fishing laid back. but no fishing way we get mike gonzalez. neal cotts is pitching like spiff right now.
Kalapse
Mikey is also sporting a spiffy 1.53 WHIP this year. The guy has no control of his pitches, I have no clue how he keeps his ERA so low.

Guest JimH
I personally believe Littlefield (Pirates) will make a trade by tomorrow afternoon, he has been holding out for very high returns thus far for mediocrity ... Gonzalez, Torres, Hernandez. He is under huge pressure in Pittsburgh from the fans to do "something". They are so far out of it, they definitely want Littlefield to acquire something for these guys they may or may not launch after this year. The White Sox have had their eye on Torres for a while but the price has been too high.
Chisoxfn
Personally speaking, I wouldn't deal Cotts for Gonzalez. I realize Cotts is in a funk right now but this is a guy that the club has control of for a few more years who has a real sneaky fastball and is really pretty much unhittable when on (just look at last year). He's been good for most of this year but its evident he needs to work a bit more on developing some secondary pitches and if that all goes well he'll be back to being one of the premiere relievers in baseball. whitesoxownyou
Well this Zito trade rumor sounds like a pretty good deal.. Yeah so far this place seems to be laid back and people don't flip out when they disagree with something or be rude to people. *Knocks on wood. But yeah it is good to be back at Soxtalk

whitesoxownyou
I meant the thing that was posted earlier. I wouldn't mind seeing it happen at all.
bulokis
The guy I would want is Oliver Perez, he is struggling mightily and currently in the minors the last time I looked. Maybe Coop can bring him back to his old form.

Gregory Pratt
Cooper can't simply be assigned a pitcher; he has to spot his prey, and pursue it himself. You can't bring a Matt Thornton to Cooper and say, "Fix!" He has to say, "I want him brung!"
