Why should a guy lose an individual streak by helping his team by reaching base in every one of his at bats without making an out? Should he be penalized for trying to help his team?
September 14, 200619 yr That's bulls*** that it should end. The rule states if he has no offical AB, and no sac fly, the streak goes on. If he has a sac fly, and no offical AB, the streak is over. Jeter had no offical AB, no sac fly, the streak should stay

With no ABs, it doesn't count against you.

Apparently, you can't read either. I said I understand it, and I have no problem with it at all. I simply stated I think the streak should end. He played a game, and it is a 22-GAME hitting streak. If it is a Sox player that did it, I would say the same exact thing. I really don't care either way though.

September 15, 200619 yr I do agree with it but if someone is going to beat DiMaggio I'd like it to be in 57 straight games. Not 59 games and having no official at bat in 2 of them.
