The key would be than we would definitely need to replace Uribe with a leadoff hitter from that position. That way the weakness in our lineup(bottom/top) are both taken cared of. Especially if Brian Anderson fullfills the potential we all know he has.

This is a 39 year old with incredibly diminished defensive ability who put up a .809 OPS last season in the NL West I think I understand why people aren't all that excited about the prospects of having Luis Gonzalez in LF next year. Plus you're forcing KW to go out and find a new SS who can leadoff and there isn't exactly an abundance of those.

September 25, 200619 yr I appreciate his interest, but no thank you! We are much better off with either a speedy lead off hitter like Carl Crawford or developing Sweeney or Fields.
