Which 4 NFC QBs who could make the Pro Bowl and only 3 available spots who will be picked for the Pro Bowl this year among the 4 candidates-McNabb, Hasselback, Manning, and Vick?

  • Author

I dont think Grossman will be picked even if he ends the year with 30 or more TD passes because:

Eli Manning only has to end the year between 20-25 TD passes to be picked over Rex automaticaly even if Rex has similar or more.

Michael Vick automaticaly is voted in if the Falcons win their division which it looks like they will. If he is around 15 TD passes and Falcons are leading division he is in for sure.

McNabb will get in unless he has ununusaly bad year.

Rex would have to toss 35 or more TD passes to be picked, it just isnt in the cards.

Thats not true at all, but whatever.

Ok lets just say hypotheticaly that Rex had 30 TD passes, Eli had around 25, McNabb had 30 as well, Hasselback had around 25 too, and Vick had 15 but his usual scramble plays and the Falcons were leading the division at 10-4 around at the time. Who do you think would be picked in that hypothetical scenario?

i don't know what world your living in but if you throw 30 TD's your going to make the pro bowl. Grossman is having a great year and is getting a lot of hype from people around the NFL so why wouldn't he make the pro bowl. It will be Rex/Eli/Mcnabb.

Well hopefully he has 28 TD passes after week 14 or week 15(when they pick the Pro Bowl roster)and we will see if that theory is correct or not. I would like to think you are right and that should put you in automaticaly.

Id say Mcnabb, Eli, and Grossman are the leading candidates as of right now.

Considering that the Bears may have the best record in the NFC to boot, Rex would defintaely get the nod given your scenario. Lets remember one thing, the Bears are one of the most well known franchises in the NFL and historically are one of the greatest as well.

In fact, I'd say we are a far more storied franchise than either of the one's in New York. Hell, I can only say the Packers are potentially more storied than the Bears.

Now I am not going to say I expect Rex to make the pro bowl, but if his numbers are that good, he'll no doubt get the nod. In fact if his numbers were identical to Eli, I'd expect Rex to get the nod.

Ok I like how that sounds and hope you are right. :D I honestly expect Rex to match Eli's stats this year atleast.

Does Michael Vick get in cheaply if the Falcons do well even if he does not throw TD passes you think? I think is about the most overrated QB in the league, Hasselback and Brees are miles better then him. I know his scrambling ability gets alot of credit, too much I think when not balanced by effective passing, and I dont care if his team does well or not since it isnt all due to him.

Just curious those of you who say it will be Grossman, McNabb, or Manning what makes you think they would ever leave Michael Vick out?

First of the Falcons will probably be leading the division at the time of selections. If so he automaticaly gets voted in since he is so overrated doesnt he? Especialy if he even has 10 TD passes or more.

Or did his selection last time create such a big stink that he will actually have to put up real number, even passing numbers to get in this time?

I have always been a huge Vick fan, even so much to where i cheer for the Falcons. But recently i realized that Vick is really bad.He is not a quarterback. He cannot throw the ball where he wants it to go,period. He may be a RB or a WR,but not a person who throws a football.

I agree but do you really think there is any way the fans who vote on the Pro Bowl will think that way if the Falcons are leading their division?

fan voting only counts for 1/3 i believe with coaches and players votes comprising the other 2/3

I fail to understand why you think Vick will get in the Pro Bowl no matter what. Yeah, a lot of the media loves him, but if the Bears continue to do this well, they'll jump on the Grossman hype machine. Vick sucks, people are starting to realize that. McNabb and Manning will be in if they keep up their current performance, and the same should be said for Rex Grossman. The Pro Bowl is for the best players in the league. The only reason Vick has made it before is because there were no other QBs that were qualified to go.

That is good, hopefullly the fans will be reasonable and Manning and Vick get left off the roster.

According to your scenario, Rex, McNab and Hasselbeck

I dont know why you think Vick will get in just because of his name? He is having a miserable season passing the ball and ive seen him get a lot of negative pub rather than positive.

The MLB needs to just C&P that. Please.

I have had enough of the Yankees and Red Sox BS for the past 5-10 years.
