Chris Carpenter will earn $2 million a year more than Vicente Padilla. God young pitching is so useful.

Just when I thought the Rangers were going to stop making dumb moves.

 

This current market makes me sick and I am going to enjoy watching some of these teams regret spending this kind of money. The name Russ Ortiz comes to mind instantly.

Garland had a lot of upside at the time of the extension. Padilla was almost a non-tender player by the Phillies last year.

 

Look at the Carpenter deal in this market and compare him to Padilla. Carpenter only worth 2 million more a year than Padilla?
