Soriano/Ramirez traded!

Clever though Alfonso Soriano can't be traded.

Not a bad move by either club. Mariners need starting pitching and while Soriano is real talented, Ramirez (when healthy) is a pretty damn solid lefty (although he walks a lot of guys) who should pitch really really well in safeco.

The Braves wanted to get rid of one of there injury prone starters and did exactly that by getting a very talented, yet injury prone reliever in Soriano.

Unless the Braves are throwing in a prospect, this is an absolute steal for Atlanta.

Great move for ATL.

The cubs would be wise to trade theirs as well, thought they cant.

M's lose. Why would they do this? They must be pretty desperate after failing to sign Schmidt. What kind of crap can we throw them for Putz?

Reinsdorf to KW: So Kenny... Who'd we get from Seattle?

KW: Some Putz.

There were actually one or two whispers that this Soriano might have been involved in a deal for the other Ramirez

Rosenthal is saying it's not a done deal. The Braves are going to get Mike Gonzalez, so that could have an effect. If it does happen, I can't wait to see what we get for Freddy/Vazquez.

On paper it looks like an absolute steal for the Bravos, but did Soriano ever come back after the line drive to the head? How will that effect him?

Last I heard he was doing well in winter ball, but you can't put a whole lot of stock in that. I still say it's a steal for ATL.
