At TNA Wrestling's Dec PPV, Turning Point, our own AJ Pierzynski and Dale Torborg were present when World Series MVP David Eckstein came out with his mvp trophy, accompanied by his brother. The TNA Announcer interviewed Eckstein who talked about a book he'd written for kids and when the conversation turned to his thoughts on TNA's wrestlers, AJ and Torborg started ripping pages out of Eckstein's book, and then AJ started telling Eckstein what a loser he thought he was, and how the Cards were lucky to even make the playoffs. That led to a brawl, including Torborg throwing punches at Eckstein's brother, and AJ & David basically pushing each other around.

 

Interesting to see how much mainstream exposure this gets over the next few days, on Sportscenter and in the press. It will probably result in a match involving AJ and Eckstein, which although it probably won't be a good match wrestling-wise, will get the Sox a lot of press.

During the “Turning Point” Pay-Per-View event, TNA management director Jim Cornette introduced two special guests into the ring – Chicago White Sox star AJ Pierzynski (with White Sox strength and conditioning coach Dale Torborg), as well as World Series MVP David Eckstein, along with his brother Rick. Eckstein brought along a copy of his upcoming book “Have Heart”, which Torborg began to rip the pages out of! Pierzynski then had some choice comments to make about Eckstein and the Cardinals, leading to a brawl between both sides! Without a doubt, the fallout from this confrontation involving two of MLB’s biggest stars will be felt on Thursday’s “iMPACT!” on SpikeTV at 9pm ET!

 

haha aj is funny. saying that the cardinals are lucky to make it to the playoffs, its kind of true. 83 wins?!? While we win 90 and don't make it! haha good stuff. This is a match of what could have been Cardinals vs White Sox in the World Series.
