December 14, 200619 yr Joel Zumaya-R- Tigers Dec. 14 - 11:14 am et Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski told WXYT-AM on Wednesday the team had concluded Joel Zumaya's wrist/forearm troubles at the end of the season came from playing the Playstation 2 game "Guitar Hero," not anything pitching related. It's only the beginning; just wait until next year when all of the Wii-related injuries begin to strike. The Tigers asked Zumaya to stop playing the video game, and he complied. Zumaya was pain-free during the World Series and should be 100 percent next year. Pretty funny
December 14, 200619 yr Carlos Zambrano has a new friend. Seriously, I was scared that when I clicked on this thread, based on the title, it would really be not safe for work.
December 14, 200619 yr Yeah that Freebird solo on Extreme can really take it out on your wrist / fingers pretty bad.
December 15, 200619 yr That is hilarious. They will have to put a "No Guitar Hero" clause in future contracts. The next injury I expect will be caused by the Wii Remote.
December 15, 200619 yr QUOTE(RME JICO @ Dec 15, 2006 -> 03:48 AM) The next injury I expect will be caused by the Wii Remote. Wood blows out his elbow playing Tennis on the Wii. Then whacks Prior in the face on the backswing, breaking his nose.
December 15, 200619 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 15, 2006 -> 02:52 AM) Wood blows out his elbow playing Tennis on the Wii. Then whacks Prior in the face on the backswing, breaking his nose. That would be fantastic... we could start calling Prior "Marcia Brady". "OH! My nose!"
December 19, 200619 yr QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 04:18 PM) Carlos Zambrano has a new friend. Seriously, I was scared that when I clicked on this thread, based on the title, it would really be not safe for work. Yes, they have many things in common.
December 19, 200619 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 15, 2006 -> 02:52 AM) Wood blows out his elbow playing Tennis on the Wii. Then whacks Prior in the face on the backswing, breaking his nose. Then Harry Caray's Restaurant blows up the Wii, and uses it (along with the "Bartman Ball" and goat meat) to make pasta sauce.
