I think the Red Sox should sign him for one day so they can just shut up about the Anderson for Bagwell trade. Seriously, though, he was a great 1st Baseman and a class act. Good luck in your second career Bags...
December 15, 200619 yr One of my five favorite players of all time. The autograph he gave me is the most prized of my collection, although Scott Eyre isn't tough to beat out.
December 16, 200619 yr After watching him in the 05' WS its amazing that just now he is calling it quits. His body just looked like it wasnt going to allow him to play another day.He was done a long time ago.
December 17, 200619 yr I felt terrible for Bagwell when Jenks overpowered him in the Series. That strikeout will always be one of the three images to come to mind when I think of the Series, next to Freddy and AJ when Garcia got out of his bases loaded jam and the image of everyone jumping together. Oh, and Bagwell: fine player, too. I wish him the best and a lovely plaque in Cooperstown.
December 17, 200619 yr QUOTE(3E8 @ Dec 16, 2006 -> 04:45 PM) My favorite baseball player. I used to emulate his swing in little league. Iam sure your coaches loved that too ,huh?lol
December 18, 200619 yr Coach:"Hey kid, you gotta take a crap or somethin'?" 3E8:"No, I'm imitating Bagwell!" Edited December 18, 200619 yr by knightni
