NBA All-Star fiasco?

Featured Replies

ehh...after reading I should of known it was written by Jason Whitlock.

I had a friend that was in Vegas for all this, and she said about the same things. The NBA, Las Vegas, and ESPN have done a good cover up so far, but more info is going to get out. My favorite quote about it was "It was the Hip Hop Woodstock". I wish I remember who said it, but whoever did hit the nail on the head.

Yeah i posted this in the NBA thread. I also knew someone down there, and she said it was a joke. She actually heard gunshots outside her hotel one night, and another night left a party at a hotel before there was a shooting there as well.

The NBA has major issues.

Thankfully Whitlock is black or else his story would have been dismissed as blatant racism.

And yes, it wouldn't have made his account any less truthful if he were white; but you know how society judges people who speak outside their own race, religion, ethnicity, etc.

I believe it was Bill Simmons

So what is it that caused the problems?

The players' entourages or the rappers' entourages or both of those groups together?

I think we all know what happened...

Someone asked on the PA for the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby to come forward...

Is Jason Whitlock Kansas City's Jay Mariotti?

yes. Also gets a lotta love from the mother network, PTI, Around, Dan Patrick radio

Whitlock is a fat blob who loves hearing himself talk. He is not respected at all in KC. He absolutely hates all the local teams.

I cant imagine many sportwriters in KC having much good to say about their pro franchises

I've liked Whitlock on ESPN.

However, I think Mariotti is horrid in writing and on TV, so I don't know if that's a valid comparison.
