June 25, 200322 yr Should the Sox go after him if they are still in contention after the AS break? Gammons mentioned that the Sox might be after him if they continue to play well. The Sox have been mentioned with Ponson a couple of times in the past so it might be a realistic option. He will probably get a nice raise through arbitration this offseason if he continues to pitch well. Do you guys think the Sox should go after Ponson? Ponson is a underachiever NO
June 25, 200322 yr I think there are 2 possible teams to trade Carlos Lee and Pk to. 1. The O's, I don't know who they have in thier farm system but I do know they need some power from the right side. If we could trade Carlos and maybe Malone for Ponson I would defenailty do it. 2. The Dodgers, They are just like the O's because they also need some power. Again I don't know who is who in thier farm system but if we could get anything for PK from them I would do that also.

June 25, 200322 yr I would rather have Ponson than Weaver. But I dont see either of those trades happening because other teams are also interested and have so much more to offer. I love the idea of Dan Wright closing out games, he could pull an Eric Gagne. But of course JM wont want that. :fyou
June 26, 200322 yr Ponson throws tonight. He pitched a complete game, gave up 2 runs. Thats pretty damn good vs. the red-hot Blue Jays. Now he has 4 complete games, just one behind Colon.
