Guess Ozzie reads SoxTalk

MLB.com: The biggest misconception about Ozzie Guillen.

Guillen: Ozzie Guillen is crazy. Ozzie Guillen has no common sense when he talks. Another thing is people think my players hate to play for me, and that's not true.

I dont think anyone on this site, through all the negativity, ever said that the players dont like to play for him. They are routinely saying that he is great to them and is their best manager some of them have ever had. There are even players around the league that have commented on how they would like to play for him.

Well, there's always talk about how Ozzie prefers Latinos, how Ozzie hates young players, how Ozzie doesn't know how to handle a team or a staff, so I don't know.

Uh, I've seen quite a few people try to say that.

There's at least two people on this site that know for a fact that a few players dislike him. Also, I guess it's easy to say your players like you when you get rid of the ones that don't. Don't get me wrong....for the most part, Ozzie is definitely a player's manager.

I'm just wondering where Ozzie sees the misconception coming from. What is Ozzie reading or hearing that makes him believe that there are people who think some of his players don't like playing for him? I've never actually read or heard anything in the mainstream like that before, I'm always hearing the opposite from players around the league, except ARod of course.

Those theories have been professed on this site, but I don't see the connection between them and Guillen's quote:

I'd get into it but I pledged confidentiality to someone on this site.

There's at least two people on this site that know for a fact that a few players dislike him

I know you didn't mean anything too negative by this post, but who cares if a few players dislike him?

Wait and see how many Scrubs hate Piniella this year.

That one Cardinal didn't speak with LaRussa half of last year.

The modern day ballplayer hates a lot of things, except the runner who brings him his paycheck.
