Dewon Day?

Featured Replies

He's got 21 strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings. Which is kind of amazing. Is he a real prospect - I see that he's 26, so is it that he's just older than the competition? I'd appreciate any info.

According to the futuresox guys, he has incredible slider, that translates to about 70/80 for a grade.

Dewon Day is sexy as hell. Apparently his fastball has improved to go along with that nasty slider. I believe that he should be ready for MLB play by the second half, if needed.

Can he play some outfield?

Was this guy a big prospect for another org about 3-4 years ago... Possibly Tampa Bay? The name sounds familiar

We got him in the minor league portion on the Rule V draft from Toronto, IIRC.
