Carter has been beastly once again. And Gomes seems to be finally showing some of that great potential I've heard so much about.

Well he's down to .277/.357/.327/.683, 13:16 BB:K, in 101 ABs he has 5 extra base hits all of them being doubles. He is 14/18 in stolen bases which is nice but after his hot start he's now come back down to earth.

And Gomes seems to be finally showing some of that great potential I've heard so much about.

Kind of. He's only hitting .255 in his 2nd year at low A after starting last year at high A and he's 22, a bit on the old side for the league. That said, he has a very good walk rate (14 in 98 at-bats) giving him a pretty solid .348 obp. He's doing better, but he's still not much of a prospect IMO.

Shelby looking like a bust to me.
